Push-and-hold a global hotkey, speak, release, text pastes at your cursor in any app. Defaults to Parakeet TDT v3 via FluidAudio (multilingual, very fast) with WhisperKit for on-device Whisper. 100% local, no cloud, no subscription. Apple-Silicon-only (your M2 Ultra is ideal). Cons: young/fast-moving project, no AI rewrite/cleanup layer, thinner than commercial tools. The open-source sibling of Superwhisper/VoiceInk and the cheapest way to test local dictation against Apple on your Québec FR voice.
